Join us on a tour of magnificent 16 lakes, the largest, oldest and most visited national park in Croatia. This unique wonder of nature back in 1979 was recognized by UNESCO and placed under their protection. Mother Nature has made an effort to create 16 beautiful lakes of various sizes combining them with waterfalls of which the largest Big Waterfall, 78 meters high and cascades that can be seen during a relaxing stroll.
With lakes, Plitvice adorn the vast forests rich in flora and fauna. Besides the brown bear, which is also the trademark, Plitvice habitat 321 species of butterflies, 50 species of mammals, 20 species of bats and many other animals. Despite the relatively small area of the park, its found even 1,267 plant species, some of them are extremely rare and endemic. A large number of them are endangered and legally protected species, which makes it priceless park area, not only in Europe but also in the world.
The whole experience will round off an exciting train ride in which you will be able to once again relive the beauty of the Plitvice Lakes.
