OMIŠ AND RADMAN’S MILLS
After a pleasant drive we arrive in Omiš, city of pirates. Throughout the history of the environment where Omiš is settled, at the confluence of the river Cetina, between two cliffs, as if luring its people to deal with piracy. Indeed they were very successful, throughout history they have been a terror along the Adriatic coast.
The city is intersected by numerous small stone streets and squares where public life took place. It was surrounded by walls on three sides and the fourth side was guarded by mountains. With its beauty attracted the attention church of St.Michael, the house of happy man and city gates. Above the walls there are fortresses Fortica and Mirabela, and we will rise to Mirabela, which is offering a breathtaking view of the central Dalmatia islands, city Omiš and river Cetina.
After that we will go down to the main beach where for an hour and a half where you can enjoy the sun, sea and refreshments nearby bars. After spending time on the beach, we go to the Radman’s mills restaurant and picnic area where the tall trees, peaceful atmosphere of mill wheels and a sundial, lazy trout in the pool, all that revives the rustic spirit of past times.
Peace, freshness of the Cetina River Canyon and the beauty of nature will allow a break in the full sense of the word. In addition to excellent cuisine and traditional dishes are available on site, sports facilities and children’s playground are located next to the restaurant. After lunch in a restaurant, we return to Split.
